Welcome to the Web site for the old pupils association of King's School, Rochester. On this site you will find details of the Society and the events it organises and supports.

The Old Roffensian Society’s objective is to enable past members of the School to keep in touch with their contemporaries and with the continuing life of King's In addition to our extensive magazine, which provides news and features on both the School and Society members, we annually produce a calendar advising of both OR and School events and functions.

Available to us is a database of information whereby we keep members in touch with each other. There are regular sports fixtures held between O.R. teams and the School and, where appropriate, hospitality is provided after such matches. The Society is also keen to contribute to School Projects, for example supporting School Tours overseas, the provision of new equipment in School Hall and making Grants to leavers going into further education. Additionally we support local good causes such as the restoration of the Medway Queen paddle steamer, Kent Blood Donors and the maintenance of the Vines.

A dinner is held each year which is open to all members and sometimes provides a fitting opportunity for honouring the retirement of members of the Common Room. Other Society functions are arranged during the year and members will have the opportunity to purchase regalia from amongst the distinctive items available. For details of all our Events please go to the "Events" page on this web site.

All ORs should also be aware of the exciting JobsNetwORk is a scheme devised by Old Roffensian, Peter Gummer. The scheme provides cutting-edge advice, work experience, practical help and support for King's current and former pupils in today's difficult employment market by giving them access to the fund of contacts, knowledge, work placements and practical, expert advice to make them stand out from the crowd at interview and in the workplace. If you would like to offer help as a mentor, offer work experience placements, interview technique advice –or any other form of work-based help to our current pupils or fellow ORs - then please click on the link at the bottom of this page.

Additionally Life members are able to enjoy membership of the King’s Sports Centre.
